Nowadays, communication infrastructure is in growth and assurance safety on roads and highways is the most important administration task. Permanent monitoring and vehicle classification can be very useful in establishing diversions and by-passes or in traffic lights configuration.

In reply to this needs, we offer Wavetronix SmartSensor HD radar system. It works despite protective barriers and separating lanes of oppositely flowing traffic. It observes all vehicles present in the field of vision. The radar measures such values as traffic intensity, average speed changes, average and momentary speed of vehicles, average distances between vehicles, 85-percentage speed percentile and occupancy of particular road lanes.

More than two years ago Far Data started to cooperate with Transport Research Centre (Centrum Dopravního Výzkumu s.r.o), company operating as a part of Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic in order to research and develop of bottlenecks management using Intelligent Transport Systems. Main target of the cooperation was creating an intelligent transport system for effective traffic flow management in bottlenecks on the roads and highways. As a result of this team-work a CONGMAN system was designed. The basic building block of the project is the innovative system design of dynamic driver navigation at the places where one lane ends (so-called zip-merging). The dynamic zip management system will inform the drivers if they should remain in the ending lane or whether they should proceed to merge fluently without reducing the speed and interfering with drivers in the continuous lane.

Currently, we work on new traffic management system Via Zone. In cooperation with scientists and partners from Czech Republic we will design advanced solution based on CONGMAN system.
